Uluru & Northern Territories Holidays
Rugged, raw and rich in natural beauty, the Australian region of the Northern Territory spans from Australia's Red Centre in the very middle of the country right up to the tropical Top End. The territory is, of course, most famous for Uluru (Ayers Rock), the iconic rock formation located towards the south of the region in Australia’s Red Centre. And while Uluru is definitely a must-do for any Australia holiday, we also recommend exploring the rest of the state as well. At the top lies the beach-side city of Darwin, as well as a range of national parks and natural adventures to enjoy. It’s here you can tour the multicultural food markets of Darwin, go on a crocodile safari in the wildlife-rich region of Kakadu National Park, journey onto Katherine to cruise or kayak the breathtaking Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park, and experience Aboriginal culture first hand in Arnhem Land or the Tiwi Islands. To experience all of these highlights and more, talk to one of our Australia Experts today.

Where to Go in the Northern Territory
The Northern Territory begins in the Red Centre of Australia and stretches north to the coastline. To get a feel for this region of the country, we recommend visiting both extremes, namely Uluru in the Red Centre and the city of Darwin on the coastline. It’s possible to drive between the two, although this can take a few days and travels across Outback terrain. Otherwise you can fly from Alice Springs, which is near Uluru, to Darwin in around two hours. From Darwin, be sure to explore the surrounding area, known as the Top End, which promises incredible tropical landscapes and unique wildlife.
