What Countries are on England’s Quarantine Exemption List?

St Lucia and the Maldives are in a list of destinations which holidaymakers can visit without quarantining when they get home. The government announced that, from 10 July 2020, when visiting any of the below countries, travellers will not have to self-isolate for 10 days upon return. These quarantine-exempt countries, or “travel corridors” have been outlined by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) as follows:

  • Anguilla
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Aruba
  • Australia
  • The Azores
  • Bahrain
  • Barbados
  • Bermuda
  • Bhutan
  • Bonaire/St Eustas/Saba
  • British Antarctic Territory
  • British Indian Ocean Territory
  • British Virgin Islands
  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • Cayman Islands
  • The Channel Islands
  • Chile
  • Cuba
  • Denmark
  • Dominica
  • Falkland Islands
  • Faroe Islands
  • Federated State of Micronesia
  • Fiji
  • Finland
  • Gibraltar
  • Greenland
  • Greece (limited to the islands of Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos and Kos)
  • Greenland
  • Grenada
  • Hong Kong
  • Iceland
  • Ireland
  • Isle of Man
  • Japan
  • Kiribati
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Madeira
  • Malaysia
  • Maldives
  • Mongolia
  • Montserrat
  • New Caledonia
  • New Zealand
  • North Mariana Islands

  • Thailand
  • Timor-Leste

  • Vietnam

Also included, but not on this list is the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the 14 British Overseas Territories.

It is hoped this list will continue to expand over the coming days and weeks, and at present only applies to travel to and from England. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have yet to set up or agree to such a system.
